Faye Grose Long, 96, of Gauley Bridge, entered into rest February 27, 2013, at Montgomery Elderly Care Center, Montgomery.
Born on April 21, 1916, in Swiss, she was the daughter of the late Ollie and Carrie Hypes Grose. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Parker Long; daughter, Patsy Whiteside; grandson, Cortney Whiteside and sisters, Opal Winebrenner and Martha Brackens.
Faye was an employee of Wiseman's Department Store for 35 years and a member of Gauley Bridge Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Sandra Collins; grandchildren, Michael (Christine) Whiteside, Shawn (Cindi) Whiteside, Craig (Susan) Whiteside, Lisa (William) McDermott, Jody (Amy) Whiteside, Jeremy (Andrea) Whiteside, Randy (Kristin) Collins, Dawn (George) Nau, Roger Collins and Christy (Robert) Teagle; brother, James Grose; sister, Vera Fowlkes; 22 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 1 pm Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Gauley Bridge Baptist Church with Reverend Craig Gee officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens, Victor.
Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the Church.
