Pearl Rogers Legg, 90, of Indore, passed away Friday, October 11, 2013 following a long illness.
She was the daughter, of the late William and Annie Rogers and was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter Legg, brothers, Norvel and Charles Rogers and 4 other siblings.
Pearl was Christian, a loving mother and friend. She was a member of the VFW Post 4419 Auxiliary, Clay Women's Club and Dixie Homemakers Club.
She is survived by her 4 children, Rodney Legg of Indore, Walter Scott Jr. and Terrie Legg of Clay, Penny and David Woods of Lizemores and Evie and David Preast of Jodie, grandchildren, Jennifer (Woods) and Douglas Hamilton of Lewisburg, Jessica Woods and fiancé© Joshua Evans of Charlton Heights, Lindsay (Legg) and Pat Schoolcraft of Procious and Joshua Scott Preast of Jodie; great-grandchildren, Katie and Carter Hamilton, Roxanna Schoolcraft and baby boy Schoolcraft due to arrive in February. She is also survived by her 90 year old cousin (but like a sister) Irene Polito of Millersburg, OH and a dear faithful friend Sonjie Brown of Indore and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, October 15, 2013, at Pennington Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge, with Revs. Herbert Vance, Edward Jarrett and Dennis Preast presiding. Burial will be in the Cline-Legg Cemetery, Indore.
Friends may call from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lizemores Volunteer Fire Department, 13175 Clay Highway, Lizemores, WV 25125.
