Wilbur O. Lanham, 87, of Clay, died Wednesday, December 17, 2003, at CAMC-General Division.
He was born on May 24, 1916, in Clay County to the late Oley and Delta Lanham. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Jane, and his brother, Jack.
He was a retired track maintenance employee from Buffalo Creek and Gauley Railroad with 13 years service, from B & O Railroad with 29 years service, and was a coal miner, formerly ran motor at Pisgah.
He is survived by his sons, James, Ronald, and Gary, all of Cleveland; daughter, Carol Rose of Brunswick, OH; sister-in-law, Charlotte Susan Wolfe of Ripley; 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 11 am Saturday, December 20, 2003, at Carl Wilson Funeral Home, Clay, with Minister Ralph Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Lanham/Markle Cemetery, Maysel.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
