Ethel Mary Jett, 95, of Valley Fork, entered into rest on Sunday, October 10, 2004, at her residence.
She was born on November l8, 1908, to the late William and Lavina Browning. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence S. Jett.
She was a homemaker and attended Big Otter Primitive Baptist Church and House of Prayer, and was a member of the Golden Age Club.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Maxine Jett of Parma, OH, Willard and Yvonne Jett of Brecksville, OH, and Roy and Charlotte Jett of Valley Fork; daughters and son-in-law, Dorma Carte of St. Albans, and Reva and Gary Whaling of Valley Fork; foster daughter, Rose Nicholas of Valley Fork; brother, Rex Browning of Clendenin; daughters-in-law, Betty Jett of Lothian, MD, Mary Jett Spencer of Brunswick Hills, OH, and Kaye Jett of Little Hocking, OH; 21 grandchildren, numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren, 35 foster children.
Funeral service will be l pm Thursday, October 14, 2004, at Carl Wilson Funeral Home, Clay, with Ministers Don Dobbins and Jim Paxton officiating.
Burial will follow in Laurel Point Cemetery, Newton.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
