Orvis "O.C." Ferrebee, 58, of Wellington, KY, entered into rest on June 28, 2005, at home after a brief illness.
He was born on February 16, 1947, in Valley Fork to the late Albert and Zelma Ferrebee. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his beloved grandson, Zackary Gibbons, and nephew, Sonny Cottrell.
He was a crane operator for Western Steel, a veteran, and a member of AMVET, OH.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Ferrebee of Wellington; daughters, Rebecca Wilson of Winchester, KY, Beth Chapman of New London, OH; son, Jeff Ferrebee of Wellington; grandchildren, James and Andrew Wilson, Jeffrey, Jacob, Nicole, and Rachel Chapman, and Alisha Ferrebee; brothers, Andrew "Bud" Ferrebee of Maysel, Earl "Jim" Ferrebee of Valley Fork, William Paul Ferrebee of Maysel, David J. Ferrebee of Spencer, Basil J. Ferrebee of Elkview, Woodrow "Dickie" Ferrebee of Harrison; sisters, Virginia Blankenship of Harmony, NC, Helen Cottrell of Wallback and
Jane Burkhamer of Wallback; uncles, Walter Ferrebee of Elyria, OH, and John Summers of Perry, OH, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 11 am Friday, July 1, 2005, at Carl Wilson Funeral Home, Clay, with Minister Spencer Ferrebee officiating. Burial will follow in the Summers-Ferrebee Cemetery, Hansford Fork, with military graveside rites conducted by Clay VFW Post 4419.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
